C++ Sybase/Perl Support

C++ Sybase/Perl Support (MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE FINANCIAL BACKROUND... ie GOLDMAN, LEHMAN, JP MORGAN, ML, etc)

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 6months+  

Overall Responsibilities:The Repo team in Fixed Income IT has adopted a follow-the-sun support model for its global user base. The team's support centers are in Singapore and Raleigh. The Raleigh support team is required to provide coverage during US business hours (6:30 AM to 6:00 PM US time) for users in the United Kingdom and the US.This position is for a Technical Application Support member of the group. The main responsibilities include:Participate in daily application support. Support includes both first-line and second line with third-line escalation to the team's developers.Participate in pre-release QA testing of the group's applications (Vision and RPL).Participate in off-hour and weekend application checkout during scheduled and unscheduled outages.Functional Responsibilities:Perform first and second-line support responsibilities.Ensure proper escalation procedures are followed.Ensure that the Service-Level Agreements for issue resolution and remediation are adhered to.Ensure that the Knowledge Base stays current.Escalate high-impact issues to senior management per the team's escalation procedures.Mentor/cross-train other team membersGain understanding of Repo/Securities Lending/Collateral Management businesses.Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally.May require travel occasionally. Will require travel to Raleigh for training purpose (1-3 weeks).
